7 Lessons I’m Taking Into My Birthday Week

7 Lessons I’m Taking Into My Birthday Week
Wisdom From a Year of Growth, Clarity, and Doing the Work
My birthday is this week, November 30th and as I look back on this year, I can honestly say it stretched me, sharpened me, and reminded me of what really matters in life and in business. So today, instead of dropping a traditional blog, I want to share seven lessons that truly changed me. My hope is that they meet you exactly where you are and help you move into your next season with clarity, confidence, and peace.
1. Be you.
You are uniquely made. No one can duplicate your magic, your voice, or the way you show up in the world. The best version of you is the one you already are, whether you’re thriving, rebuilding, resting, or reinventing. Lean into it. Trust it. Honor it.
2. Take the time and do the work.
The quickest path often becomes the longest. The “easy way” can delay the very thing you’re trying to build. Foundations matter in business, in relationships, in personal growth. Slow down long enough to do the work that lasts.
3. The answers are already a no, so ask.
We often stay quiet because we fear the answer. But not asking guarantees the outcome we don’t want. Sometimes I say, “Thank you ego, but I’m still going to ask.” Asking has changed my life : a salon,a FREE private education for my kids, opportunities I didn’t even know existed, and over $600,000 to build LiQUiD. Ask. Even when your ego tries to “protect” your feelings
4. Have fun.
You only die once, but you get to live every day. Fun is fuel. Joy is medicine. Laughter is clarity. Remove anything that steals your joy and add more of what makes you feel alive. You’ll work better, love better, and create better.
5. Nothing beats a failure except to not try.. No explanation needed!
6. Learn from the people around you.
You’re surrounded by wisdom: mentors, peers, clients, friends, even strangers. But learning isn’t enough. You have to act on it. Knowledge moves you forward. Action transforms you.
7. Bet on yourself every single time.
No one sees your vision like you do. No one hears your calling the way you do. When you stop waiting for permission and start trusting yourself, everything shifts. Your confidence changes. Your decisions change. Your life changes.
Final Thoughts
These lessons shaped me this year , as a founder, a mom, a leader, and a woman doing her absolute best. I hope at least one of them becomes a reminder you carry into your next season.
Here’s to more clarity, more joy, more confidence, more abundance and more of the life you deserve.
💜 Slay the day
